year-round . Sailing is not only a challenging sport but is also a great
way of meeting new friends. Yachting Ventures offers training to all levels, from the total novice with no experience up to improving advanced racing techniques for the more experienced yachtsman and woman. With a professional teaching background we can structure courses to individual requirements to enable clients to gain experience ,and confidence , in a structured yet friendly atmosphere. Vic Locke has over thirty years experience in racing both locally and also at international level in such regattas as the Sydney to Hobart races, Cowes and Cork Weeks. He lectures in certification courses at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club for Masters, Engineers and Radio licences. His qualifications include R.Y.A. Offshore Master and H.K.Y.A. Instructor. He also believes that Hong Kong has some of the best , and safest ,cruising waters in the world. Most courses are run on the 45 feet sloop , Vanguard. As a fast cruiser she is ideally set up for safe sailing and her equipment has been modified to enable beginners to learn the ‘ropes’ quickly. Below decks there are all the modern conveniences that one would expect in a luxury yacht including air – conditioning. Other yachts can be arranged according to requirements. Vanguard is normally moored n Causeway Bay but other centre's such as Middle Island and Shelter Cove are also available. |
