Q: Do I need to do the 'Introduction to Sailing' course before course 2?

A: No. Most people who want to learn to sail will sign straight up for course 1 (HKSF Competent Crew).

Q: Do I have to book all my sailing sessions in advance?

A: No. Each session can be booked in advance individually by email and it is not necessary to book up consecutive sailing sessions.

Q: How long can I take to complete the course?

A: Any unused sailing sessions will lapse 6 months after the 1st sailing session.

Q: What do I do if the weather looks unsettled on the day I am sailing?

A: Either phone Vic Locke on 9333 8084 or the relevant sailing instructor, between 8am and 9am on the day of sailing.

Q: How much notice do I need to give if I need to cancel a sailing session?

A: A minimum of 48hrs is required.

Q: What should I wear to go sailing?

A: Casual clothes and trainers with non-marking soles. Take the usual precautions against the sun.

Q: Can I pay by credit card?

A: No. We have no facility to accept credit card payments. Payment is required by cheque, cash or direct transfer only, before commencement of the course.
